Kamal Hadden Signs Rookie Contract With Kansas City Chiefs
Former Tennessee Volunteers corner Kamal Hadden signed his rookie contract with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Former Tennessee corner Kamal Hadden underwent a rookie minicamp with the Kansas City Chiefs after being selected by them last month. He officially signed his rookie contract with the organization; the four-year deal is valued at $4,158,396, with $138,396 in signing bonuses.
The Kansas City Chiefs recognized his growth during his tenure at the University of Tennessee and selected him with the No. 211 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Hadden became Tennessee’s third draft pick of the day and their third overall during this year’s draft process. He also became the third defensive back selected from Tennessee under head coach Josh Heupel.

ATCHISON COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a Kansas woman after an altercation with police.
Just after 3p.m. April 25, police responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 600 block South 7th Street in Atchison, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
Police took 50-year-old Sarah Crawford into custody at the scene for criminal trespass during which time she attempted to bite an officer and resisted arrest. She is being held on requested charges of criminal trespass, assault on a law enforcement officer, and interference with law enforcement.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – City inspectors will determine if a damaged Kansas City apartment building with a history of problems is safe enough to remain standing.
Kansas City firefighters responded to a fire on the second floor of the Olive Park Village building shortly after 11 a.m. Monday. They could see smoke and fire coming from the building before they arrived at E. 9th Street and Olive Street.
The department said it took about 20 minutes to get the fire under control. No one was injured in the fire and it remains under investigation.
This is at least the second fire in the building in less than two months. Firefighters also responded to a fire at Olive Park Village on March 5.
This comes after dozens of families evacuated the building when the Department of Housing and Urban Development cut funding over dangerous and unlivable conditions.
The City of Kansas City, Missouri, announced on Friday, Jan. 16, that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ended its contract with property owner Millennia.
According to the City, the move happened after the company failed to fix ongoing safety problems and code violations at the Kansas City complex.
