Texans' Brevin Jordan gallops for 76-yard touchdown vs. Browns
The Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns were going blow for blow in the first half of their wild-card playoff game Saturday evening, and tight end Brevin Jordan made a standout play.
The Texans were hoping to respond after the Browns started the second quarter with an 11-yard touchdown pass from Joe Flacco to Kareem Hunt to take a 14-10 lead.
On the next play from scrimmage, C.J. Stroud threw a short pass to his right to Jordan. The tight end made a move and turned on the jets, galloping for a 76-yard touchdown to put Houston back on top with 12 minutes to go in the half.

Jordan was a fifth-round pick of the Texans in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Miami. In his third season in Houston, he caught 17 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns. He scored against the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tennessee Titans this season.

It was Jordan’s lone catch of the game against the Browns before the half.
Houston had a 24-14 lead at the break. Stroud was 11-for-16 for 236 yards and three touchdowns. He threw his other touchdown passes to Nico Collins and Dalton Schultz.

Houston was looking for its first playoff win since the 2019 season. The Browns haven’t won a playoff game since the 2020 season.

‘Who wouldn’t want to have James Harden?’ Ty Lue, Clippers players react to reports of possible trade
James Harden has played a key role in helping the Clippers become one of the NBA’s hottest teams over the last six weeks despite a disastrous start to their season. He may not be around, however, to see how the rest of the season unfolds.
Multiple media outlets are reporting that Harden and the Clippers working to find a suitable deal that would send him to another team by Thursday’s NBA trade deadline.
Many of those reports mention a possible trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers, swapping Harden in exchange for guard Darius Garland. Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated described discussions between the two teams as “advanced.”
The Clippers play the Cavaliers in Cleveland on Wednesday.
Harden, 36, had 25 points and nine assists in 34 minutes during the Clippers’ 122-109 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Friday but has not played in the team’s two games since. The Clippers have attributed Harden’s absence to personal reasons.
The trade reports involving Harden broke Monday during the Clippers’ 128-113 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers at Crypto.com Arena. Coach Tyronn Lue was asked about the matter during his news conference after the game.
“I can’t comment on rumors,” Lue said. “Sorry.”
After the game, Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard told Joey Linn of Linn Sports media he was surprised by the Harden reports.
“I respect his decision or whoever’s decision it is, and that’s it,” Leonard said. “I mean, he’s still gonna be my boy and, you know, I trust the front office.”
Clippers forward John Collins called the news “shocking.” Asked by Linn if he would be disappointed to see Harden leave at this point in the season, Collins answered, “Hell yeah.”
Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints reports that Harden initiated the trade talks and “the Clippers were stunned to find out about him wanting out.” The two sides have been discussing a possible parting for weeks, according to Siegel.
This past offseason, Harden signed a two-year, $81-million deal to remain with the Clippers. The second year was said to be a player option and is partially guaranteed. Harden has the power to veto any trade, according to ESPN.
Harden is an 11-time All-Star who was named the league MVP in 2018. He has played for five teams, including the Clippers since 2023, and is averaging 25.4 points, 8.1 assists and 4.8 rebounds in his 17th NBA season.
Garland is a 26-year-old two-time All Star who has averaged 18.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 6.7 assists during his seven NBA seasons. His contract expires in the summer of 2028. He has not played since Jan. 14 because of a Grade 1 sprain of his right big toe.
The Clippers were 6-21 after a 122-101 loss to Oklahoma City on Dec. 18. Since then, however, they have won 17 of 22 games to pull into a potential play-in spot (ninth place) in the Western Conference playoff standings.
Lue was asked Monday if Harden was someone he would like to continue to have on the team for a possible playoff run and beyond.
“Who wouldn’t want to have James Harden?” Lue said.

Patriots’ Drake Maye ranks wife’s viral TikTok baking recipes ahead of Super Bowl LX
NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!
You never know what will be asked at during Super Bowl media availabilities, but for New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, he doesn’t mind a little ranking question regarding his wife, Ann Michael’s, baking.
Maye, who has helped lead the Patriots to the “Big Game” in Santa Clara this week in just his second NFL season, was asked to rank four of his wife’s recipes, which has been talked about throughout the season. Ann Michael shares her recipes on TikTok, some of which going viral during what she called “Bakemas” for the holiday season.
The Patriots’ signal caller already knew what his top choice would be in the kitchen.

“Cinnamon roll snickerdoodle, she just made those for the O-line this week,” Maye said with a smile. That’s my No. 1.”
After that, he had to give it some thought.
“Puppy chow, I’ll put puppy chow No. 3. Pistachio bread, I think it’s good. I’m not a fan, [so] I’ll put that at four. The crumble copycat sugar cookie? Yeah, put that at No. 2.”
DRAKE MAYE ‘SUPER BOWL’ GUY, FORMER COACH SAYS AS PATRIOTS QB REACHED NFL’S BIGGEST STAGE
With nerves and anticipation high for everyone on the Patriots and Seattle Seahawks entering this week, questions like these perhaps make things lighter.
And for the Patriots, it’s always good to have some fresh baked goods as a nice treat before the Super Bowl. Remember Donna Kelce bringing some homemade cookies for her boys, Jason and Travis Kelce, before they faced off in the Super Bowl a few years back?

Maye has spoken on Ann Michael’s TikTok’s in the past, calling her a “superstar” with over 200,000 followers.
“(She’s) in her little journey doing ‘Bakemas’ right now. I get to do the good part of trying all her stuff she bakes. I try to bring some leftovers into the building,” Maye told “WEEI Afternoons.”
“She’s been a big addition for me being up here and living with me.”
Maye loves talking about his wife’s baking, but he knows this is still a business trip to the west coast this week. The Patriots have enjoyed a quick turnaround under new head coach Mike Vrabel, winning the AFC East and three playoff games on the way to the Super Bowl.
Maye, though, hasn’t been his usual, consistent self on the gridiron, which we saw all season long on his way to being an MVP candidate. He hasn’t completed more than 59% of his pass in any of his three games, though he has thrown four touchdowns to two interceptions.

Against the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game, Maye threw for just 86 yards, though the snowy weather played a large factor in that.
With perfect weather expected in the Bay Area on Sunday night, Maye should have the right conditions to get back in the saddle and try his luck against the Seahawks’ top-rated defense this season.
